The Admin Portal enables you to remotely configure all the domains in every registered cell. Platform architecture.
You can:
Examine release notes and testing artefacts for every version of the platform software released by FINBOURNE.
Deploy a tested and trusted version of the platform software to all domains in a cell.
Replicate a domain (both the deployed LUSID configuration resource set and your investment data) in the same cell or in a different cell.
Create a new LUSID configuration resource set or load one from source control.
Deploy a LUSID configuration resource set to a specific domain.
Register new cells so the domains they encapsulate can be remotely managed.
Monitor the health of third-party services.
This means:
While some operations must still be conducted in conjunction with FINBOURNE technical support, you have considerably more flexibility to manage your estate independently.
You can perform operations and monitor health from a centralised interface, without having to sign in to each domain.
You can deploy a version of the software to a pre-production environment and verify business processes and platform stability before deploying that version to production.
It’s much simpler to keep development, testing and production domains in sync with the LUSID configuration resources (transaction types, property types and so on) that drive the platform.
The Admin Portal supports governed change management and regulatory compliance:
Separation of duties is enforced at the platform level, not just by policy. Every operation requested in the Admin Portal must be approved by a different person (irrespective of entitlements), preventing unauthorised changes.
Source-controlled and centrally-deployed LUSID configuration resource sets replace bespoke scripts and brittle processes, preventing environmental drift.
A full audit trail for every operation performed in the Admin Portal can be examined to understand who made what change and when.
Lists of tests that have passed, failed or been skipped for each version of the platform software can be downloaded for inclusion in regulatory evidence packs.
Note the Admin Portal cannot:
Deploy a version of the platform software to a single domain in a cell (it is deployed to all domains in that cell).
Create a new cell, or add a new domain to an existing cell. Contact technical support or your customer service representative.
Add and remove LUSID users. SSO and user provisioning is managed in conjunction with your identity provider, for example Okta or Microsoft Entra ID.
Monitor LUSID API usage statistics. Contact technical support if you need more information.
Schedule operations to occur later. Once a change is approved, it is instigated immediately (though some operations may take up to 24 hours to complete).
