FINBOURNE platform architecture

The FINBOURNE platform is hosted on your choice of the AWS or Azure cloud computing platform. Regions and VPN Support.

You can choose either a single or a multi-tenant environment.

Key concepts:

• Cell: A dedicated set of resources running a single version of the FINBOURNE platform software. A cell must have one, and can have many, domains. All domains in a cell run on the same version of the platform software. A single tenant environment can have multiple cells.

• Domain: A logical tenant within a cell, identified by client ID (for example acme-sit) and addressed by URL (for example https://acme-sit.lusid.com).

• Admin Portal: An application for centrally managing cells and their domains, from updates of the platform software to synchonisation of configuration resources.

• Primary domain: The domain in a cell that is licensed to communicate with the Admin Portal on behalf of all domains in that cell.

• Registered cell: A cell that is licensed and set up to securely communicate with the Admin Portal, enabling domains to be managed centrally. Only available in single tenant environments at the moment.
