The execution of an order is the process where a buyer and a seller agree to do a trade. An order may be completed with multiple executions, each being a record of an individual agreement on the economic details. In a standard process, executions for the same order are aggregated together before being booked as a single transaction into the accounting system.
LUSID supports the uploading of executions directly into the system. Each execution is automatically converted into a transaction, which is then included in a portfolio's holdings
