If you have forgotten your password to your LUSID account you can take the steps below to reset it.

1. Go to https://{your_domain} and click "Sign-in"

Go to the homepage of your LUSID instance and click the "Sign-in" button in the top right hand corner of the screen.


2. Click the "Need help signing in?" button at the bottom of the login prompt

A login prompt from the identity provider of your instance (default is Okta) will appear. At the bottom of the login prompt click "Need help signing in?"


Once you have clicked this, "Forgot password?" will appear underneath. Click "Forgot password?".


3. Enter your email address and click "Reset via Email"

Once you have clicked on "Forgot password?" a new prompt will appear asking you for the email or username of your LUSID account. If you are looking to reset the password of a personal user this will be your email address. If this is a service account it will be the username of the service account which takes the format of an email address. It is not the email address that you originally received your welcome email on. 

Please note you may be asked to answer a security question during this process. 

Once you have successfully clicked the "Reset via Email" button and answered any relevant security questions you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset your password.
