You can use derived properties to configure instruments in the Rebalance dashboard for various purposes, such as designating instruments as:
Placeholders for group-level weightings in a reference portfolio
However, you may choose to assign your instruments using a standard property instead of a derived property. This allows you to create a property definition and simply decorate each instrument with that property.
To do this:
Navigate to Data Management > Properties.
Locate the existing derived property, noting the
Domain/Scope/Code
combination. Once noted, delete the derived property.Click the Create property definition button.
Provide the same
Domain
,Scope
, andCode
from step 2.Select Value property as property type, and Boolean as data type.
Decorate your designated instruments with the property you’ve created, setting the boolean value to
true
.
