What is an execution?

How does LUSID model executions and how do I load them into LUSID?

The execution of an order is the process where a buyer and a seller agree to do a trade. An order may be completed with multiple Executions, each being a record of an individual agreement on the economic details. In a standard process, Executions for the same order are aggregated together before being booked as a single Transaction into the accounting system.

LUSID supports the uploading of Executions directly into the system. Each Execution is automatically comverted into a Transaction, which is then included in a Portfolio's Holdings
