# How do I see dependencies for Luminesce providers and custom views?

Providing you have suitable [access control permissions](/v1/docs/identity-management-and-access-control-iam), you can retrieve dependencies for providers and your custom views in Luminesce.

The following methods for viewing dependencies are available:

- Method 1: [Using the LUSID web app](/v1/docs/how-do-i-see-dependencies-for-luminesce-providers-and-custom-views#using-the-lusid-web-app)
- Method 2: [Using Luminesce](/v1/docs/sysdependency)

## Using the LUSID web app

1. Sign in to the [LUSID web app](https://www.lusid.com/app) as a user with suitable permissions.
2. From the top left menu, select **Data Virtualisation > Dependencies**.
3. Click the **View or provider** button and choose the view or provider you want to view a dependency tree for: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/d575ad81-c0ed-4980-bbd1-d59ac5c3de82/Images/Documentation/f533c54d-758f-4e44-9d95-50099d633639.png) You can hover your cursor over each arrow to see which fields the view or provider relies on for data.

> **Note:** You may only view dependencies relating to the providers and views you have suitable access control permissions for.

Alternatively, you can use the [Sys.Dependency](/v1/docs/sysdependency) Luminesce provider to directly query dependencies and filter your results, for example to retrieve indirect relationships between dependencies and views.
