# How do I create or receive an execution?

You can monitor and record the details of your placement fills by receiving or manually creating an execution in LUSID.

There are several ways to receive or create an execution in LUSID:

## Receiving executions placed with a third party EMS or broker

If using [one of our third party integrations](/v1/docs/which-instruments-can-i-order-using-lusid) to place orders, LUSID automatically records executions as your placements are fulfilled.

You can monitor executions using the Order Blotter in the LUSID web app:

Click anywhere on a row in the Order Blotter and navigate to the **Placements** and **Executions** tabs to view more details for the selected order block:

## Using the Order Blotter in the LUSID web app

You can manually create one or more executions for a placement using the Order Blotter. To do so:

1. Sign in to the [LUSID web app](https://www.lusid.com/app/home).

4. Navigate to the **Placements** tab.

6. Use the **Create executions** screen to record the execution information, including:
  - The **Quantity** executed from the placement
  - The **Price** each unit was executed at

7. Click **Create** to save your execution record.
